The 2011 Celebration of Light was awarded the “Best Public Entertainment Event” at the BC Event Awards held in Vancouver on Nov. 3^rd. The BC Event Awards is a regional awards program recognizing outstanding achievements in special events, meeting management, conference planning and exhibition management.  

“We’re thrilled that the Celebration of Light and brand.LIVE have been recognized through this award,” said Vancouver Fireworks Festival Society Chairman, Hon. John D. Reynolds P.C.  “This event has been bringing free entertainment to the public for the last 21 years and we look forward to its continued growth in our community.”

The Celebration of Light will now be eligible in the same category for the National Star Awards, to be held in Toronto in March of 2012.
